Going live in three steps.
Right now the site is in preview mode: everything works, but accounts, posts and form submissions only save in the browser you’re using. Here’s how to make it real.
Put it online (≈2 minutes, free)
Go to app.netlify.com/drop and drag the whole site folder onto the page. You’ll get a public link immediately. Connect your own domain later under Domain settings. (Vercel, Cloudflare Pages, GitHub Pages or any normal web host work too — it’s plain HTML.)
Create the database (≈10 minutes, free)
Create a free project at supabase.com. Open SQL Editor → New query, paste everything from supabase/schema.sql, and click Run. Then in Authentication → URL Configuration, set the Site URL to your live address.
Connect the site
In Supabase, go to Project Settings → API and copy the Project URL and the anon public key. Open assets/js/config.js, set backend: 'supabase', paste both values, and set your real contactEmail. Re-upload the folder. Then sign up on the live site and run the one-line “make yourself an admin” query at the bottom of schema.sql — the Admin link will appear in your menu.
• Replace the social links on the Contact page. • Have the Privacy & Terms page reviewed. • Decide who else helps moderate — don’t be the only responder (Field Guide, Ch. 35). • Optional: run python tools/localize_images.py to copy the photos into the site so it doesn’t depend on the image CDN.
Create an account with the email admin@imgood.org (any password) and you’ll see the Admin moderation page. Submit a blog post from another account and approve it there.
